A chatbot on Embdabl acts like an interactive assistant for your website visitors. To create one:
Open: Go to the Embdabl chatbot creation page: https://embdabl.com/dashboard/new/chatbot
Create New Chatbot: Click the button to start a new chatbot.
Display Name: Give your chatbot a cool name. This will show up on your dashboard.
Welcome Message: Write a friendly message that users will see when they first start chatting. Make it welcoming! 👋
Default Prompt: Give your chatbot some guidance on how to behave. This is like setting the tone for its personality.
OpenAI Model: Choose an OpenAI model to power your chatbot's responses. It's like picking its brain! 🧠
OpenAI API Key: Enter your OpenAI API key. This is the key 🔑 to unlocking the chatbot's power.
Choose Your File for Retrieval: Select one or more files for the AI to use when searching for specific content. It is like books in a library for the chatbot. If you haven't uploaded any files yet, this option will be grayed out.
Import Your Chatbot: Already Have One? No Problem! 🤝
You can also import an existing chatbot into Embdabl instead of creating one from scratch. Here's how:
Import: Go to the Embdabl chatbot import page: https://www.embdabl.com/dashboard/new/importChatbot
Display Name: This will be the name displayed on your dashboard.
Assistant ID: Grab the Assistant ID from your OpenAI dashboard.
Welcome Message: Write a warm welcome message for your users.
Default Prompt: Provide a default prompt for OpenAI to guide your chatbot's behavior.
OpenAI API Key: Enter your OpenAI API key.
Important Note: 📝 When importing an Assistant, you'll assign any files and tools you want to use through the OpenAI dashboard.
